Fantastic news in the warbird world this week with the return of a P-47 Thunderbolt to the UK. Previously a favourite with The Fighter Collection for 20 years or so, Republic P-47D "No Guts, No Glory" was sold the the US in 2006. It is now returning to the UK register, picking up it's old registration G-THUN.

The last time I saw this fighter was at Flying Legends 2006. The pictures here are from Sunday 9th July 2006. I'm really looking forward to seeing a P-47 here again - given the types service history in the European theatre, there really should be one flying in Europe.
